How a big flea market find helped dress a book character

By November 12, 2014No Comments

Atlanta’s Scott’s Flea Market is famous for good reason. It offers two airplane hanger-sized warehouses full of antiques and other old stuff. Such fun and can even help mix business with pleasure, since I’ve found lots of old things there that help me better understand the era I write about.IMG_1034

That’s where I found this giant sample book of men’s fashions from the Tailor Made Clothing Company. One of my Lilac Girls male characters dresses well and it helped to get an inside look at men’s clothing.

Is it just me or does the man on the left look like a young Matt Lauer in a Pharrell hat?

My favorite is this one for the huskier figure.
