Having Serious Scarf Envy: the Lovely One Caroline Ferriday Donated to the Cooper Hewitt

I’m always excited to find yet another exquisite piece Caroline Ferriday donated to a New York City Museum. This time it’s the wonderful patriotic scarf above, which she gifted to the Cooper Hewitt Museum in 1947. There’s so much to admire here–I especially love the Star Spangled Banner along the edges.

Below you’ll also find a few of the many exquisite costumes and props Caroline donated to the Metropolitan Museum.
