The Lilac Girls Book Tour is off and running and it’s already been such fun meeting so many wonderful people. It all started with the Baker and Taylor Summit in Florida (complete with terrifyingly large blown-up photo, below) after which I came back to Atlanta and signed books at every Barnes and Noble within a fifty mile radius of my house. Then it was off to Les Bleus, an incredible literary salon in NYC and then up to Greenwich Connecticut for an event Diane’s Books arranged at the lovely Belle Haven Club. (The fabulous Diane even wore lilac shoes and corsage for the event.) This week it’s The Margaret Mitchell House for a talk and signing on April 28th.

I’ve acquired some wonderful things in my travels so far. A scarlet Diane’s Books tote complete with the book she chose for me–Terrible Virtue–one I’ve been dying to read.

And I couldn’t resist self-gifting a few Barnes&Noble things as well. The world’s greatest insulated cup, my new constant companion…
And a lilac tote bag that called my name. Ollie was very interested in it as well…

I’ve only just begun. Looking forward to the wonderful Margaret Mitchell House in Atlanta. Who knows what excellent people (and fun stuff) I’ll come across there.
