One of my scenes in Lilac Girls, takes place while the characters are skating in New York’s Central Park. It’s been great researching skating in New York’s early days and I bought a couple of great old photos of New Yorkers taking a spin on the ice. Turns out it was the place to see and be seen.
As it gets colder here in the northeast it’s a reminder of the fun parts of winter in New York.
